ABOUT US

Since 2009 Electric Innovations has been instrumental in developing, building and testing renewable energy projects.

With over 15 years in methane biogas power generation and biogas process equipment and over 100 projects using equipment pioneered by Electric Innovations. Currently running projects pushing power in SMUD, SoCal Edison and PG&E territories. EI has recently branched out and partnered with start up FlowLoopX using vehicle motion energy capture into electric power.

New power requirements and needs to the California power grid has ignited our passion for clean power in the State of California. EI handles engineering, electrical contracting and project development in the carbon negative and carbon neutral power generation space.

Executive Team

Michelle Thompson

Born in Austin Tx, Michelle relocated to Redding to pursue family, faith and community. She is Co-founder and executive at Electric Innovations Inc, where she leads business strategy and relational excellence. From 2016 to 2024, Michelle oversaw the hiring of over 55 team members, including key executives, while managing both employee engagement and client relationships within the company.

Michelle is passionate about empowering others and building healthy communities. She is a mother of three beautiful children, currently serves on the boards for multiple non-profit organizations, leads teams internationally for ministry, writes and loves to pour into “the one”, whoever it may be.

Michelle brings a blend of executive leadership, pastoral care, and cross-cultural experience.

Ted Thompson

Founded by Ted Thompson (CSIS) in 2007, Electric Innovations started building and interconnecting biogas fueled generators to the power grid in 2010. Ted went on to expand the company into broadband wireless networks, automation, process piping and fabrication and biogas processing systems for renewable vehicle fuel. With over 100 projects running today with equipment built by EI. In 2018 EI built the Calgren Ethanol biofuels network, the largest biogas pipeline in North America. In 2023 Ted sold automation and data division to Maas Energy, and in 2024 sold Energy Innovations (fabrication division) with partner seats in both companies. Today he runs EI in renewables and investing in alternative carbon neutral power generation projects and consults with private and city power projects.
